About

Politics Power Sex is the blog of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic Action Fund (PPHPAF).  This blog is where we write about sexual health, reproductive justice, and the politics that affect the personal right to make our own reproductive health decisions. It’s maintained by the public affairs team; three women who spend their days fearlessly advocating for reproductive rights.  (When we aren’t at our activist “day job”, we can often be found participating in other social justice and political activism in our communities.) Although the blog is maintained by the public affairs team, the posts, images and views expressed on this site do not necessarily reflect the views of Planned Parenthood, Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, or the Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic Action Fund.

We love backtalk – so leave us lots of comments (see our comments policy) and let us know how we’re doing and what you do to create reproductive justice in your life.

We also encourage you to visit Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic Action Fund’s official website, the official website of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, and the Action Fund Facebook page and the PPHP Activist Twitter page.

The mission of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic is to to empower individuals to determine their own sexual health and reproductive futures.  For 79 years, PPHP has been a trusted provider of affordable and confidential reproductive health care in the communities we serve. As a provider of sexuality education and training services, we also play an integral role in fostering healthy communication about sex, and related topics, within families and between teens and young adults and the professionals who work with them.
