What We’ve Been Reading

September 30, 2011

In case you missed it, watch Congresswoman Speier on MSNBC speaking out against Congressman Stearns’ “ideological witch hunt” on Planned Parenthood.  Way to go Congresswoman Speier! Thank you, thank you. Oh and don’t forget to sign our open letter to Congressman Sterns.

We love the new 1 and 3 campaign from Advocates for Youth.  Take a minute to check it out and listen to these incredible women’s stories.

Here we go again.  Just like before House Republicans are more focused on taking away essential health care than focusing on jobs and the economy.

Mississippi will be voting on a “personhood” amendment come November 8th.  If passed its implications could be far reaching including but not limited to a outright ban on abortion with NO exception, and outlawing of In-Vitro Fertilization and the use of hormonal birth control. Want to help out? Mississippians For Health Families needs us!

We’re going to let this New York Times Editorial speak for itself, “Where Abortion Rights Are Disappearing”.

In response to the tragic and unnecessary suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer, pop culture superstar Lady Gaga pushes the Obama Administration on anti-bullying legislation.

What have you been reading this week? What did we miss?
