What We’ve Been Reading

December 3, 2010

First, we need to commemorate World AIDS Day.  Here’s some of what we’ve read this week about the ongoing epidemic:

Please also check out Advocates for Youth Blogathon for World AIDS Day 2010.  It kicked off on December 1st, goes till December 8th, and ahey’re looking for submissions

And of course we have our usual spattering of political stories on reproductive and sexual health and rights:

President Obama says health care reform will be “a lasting legacy that I am extraordinarily proud of.”

And a judge has certified that health care reform does not, in fact, fund abortions.  (I’m still sad over that one.)

On the other hand, some judges may still weaken the new law.

This is just cool – I love it when nonprofits use the power of the media to educate, motivate, and empower.
